As per National Infrastructure Pipeline, $1500 Bn needs to be spent over next 5 years in the Infrastructure sector. Investment in Infrastructure is critical for India to become a $5 Trn economy by 2025. Substantial portion of the investment is expected to be from private sector.

ICICI Venture seeks to create dedicated Infrastructure Platforms across sectors by leveraging its experience encapsulating large complex buyouts, turnaround of assets, creation of a value accretive portfolio, establishment of touchpoints across the business ecosystem, high level Platform governance and Platform capital raise.

Resurgent Power’s current portfolio comprises the following:

  • 75.01% stake in Prayagraj Power Generation Company Limited, which owns and operates a 1980 MW supercritical power plant in Uttar Pradesh
  • 100% stake in NRSS XXXVI Transmission Limited, which is commissioning ~150 km critical Inter-State transmission project for System Strengthening Scheme in Northern Region
  • 100% stake in South East U.P. Power Transmission Company Ltd., which is commissioning ~1500 Km of Transmission Line and 6 substations
